This is a CRM solution that can be deployed natively, over virtualized infrastructure as well as the cloud.
SugarCRM is a customer relationship management solution for companies. SugarCRM can easily be customized and integrated with other software. You start with the core functionality available with the product and build on top of that to enhance the feature set. The product is available with sales force automation, marketing campaigns, support cases, project management and calendaring as the core feature set. Once installed the product is a self contained and a relocatable one. You would thus be able to run multiple instances without any problems. Being self contained, it does not have any external dependency. It will work by itself and similarly would not interfere with any other software. The integration is complete by the time installation is done. Installation on virtual infrastructure and the cloud infrastructure are facilitated by the virtual machine image and cloud images available. Cloud infrastructures supported currently are Amazon and GoGrid clouds only.
CRM functionality is supported by an easy to understand interface where functions are grouped under various tabs. These are well supported by relevant controls on the left as well as by charts and graphs. People who work with this software will need to have relevant knowledge in the specific areas where they operate, only then the controls would look easy to use. Some vital features may have to be built such as inventory, order fulfillment etc. Support functions are available though. Most of the available functionality geared towards sales generation. This will be a good option for organizations moving over to virtualized or cloud environment. More complete CRM solutions exist for standard infrastructure already.
